Water Pollution by Kenneth Tan of 4Kindness

The photo above shows raw sewage and industrial waste flows into the U.S. from Mexico as the New River passes from Mexicali, Baja (Bah-ha) California to Calexico, California.

It is relevant to the issue because it tells one common form of water pollution that many people do not care about and it shows the water being polluted.

The photo above shows sludge flowing from a pipe at a copper mine.
It is relevant to the issue because it shows another common form of pollution.

The photo above shows garbage in a polluted stream.

It is relevant to the issue because it shows pollution in a stream.

The photo above shows a polluted river running through a slum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It is relevant to the issue because it shows the pollution that will affect the people living there.

The environmental issue I will focus on is water pollution.

I chose this topic because water is an important ‘ingredient’ to life and I want to teach the world not to pollute water.

Water pollution is very hard to get rid and it damages to all living things that depends on it.

The water that we drink & bathe might even be affected by pollution. Clean drinking water is very scarce, clean water can easily be polluted by pollutions such as acidity, ammonia, chemical waste, fertilizes, heavy metals & silt. There will be water rationing as there is no clean water to drink. Water pollution can also mutate creatures or cause abnormal growth, three legged frogs, fishes with tumor, ETC. Removing these pollutants are expensive and a waste of resources and time. Pollutants can cause a fish species to be come extinct; fishermen have no fish to catch; this make less food for people to eat and the world or country end up poorer. Pollution can cause not only an extinct species but a dead zone like the Dead Sea. There are also other organisms that can pollute the water for example fish poop can cause pollution.

How to solve the problem is to filter the water from the waste using a specialized boat.
